Nick Neville kicks off 2009 racing season with the ASA Midwest Tour.

Mackinaw, Illinois (Tuesday, May 12, 2009): Nick Neville knows what pressure is when chasing after a Rookie of the Year title. There isn't much more pressure than battling your own brother for such a title like he did in 2006 in the ASA Late Model Series Northern Division.

The Mackinaw, Illinois driver is now a 2009 Rookie of the Year title contender in the American Speed Association (ASA) Kwik Trip Midwest Tour Presented by Echo Power Equipment as the Burlington, Wisconsin based series opened their 2009 racing season on May 3, 2009 at the famed 1/2 mile of Madison International Speedway in Oregon, Wisconsin.

The Joe Shear Classic 136 Presented by Echo Chain Saws saw a strong 43-car field invade the Central Wisconsin speed plant. Neville had high hopes entering the 2009 Door Opener for the third year series as he won his first career Super Late Model Feature in weekly competition at Madison in the second half of the Weaver Auto Parts Twin 50s back on August 1, 2008.

The 21-year-old qualified an impressive 12th out of the 43 stars on hand and after starting the main event from the outside of the sixth row and dealing with a broken shock mount early in the feature which forced Neville to pit several times throughout the 136-lap feature, Neville worked his way back to a hard fought 14th place finish.

"What a tough field of cars! The Top 40 in Qualifying was separated by only 7/10s of a second!" Stated the Prairie State competitor. "We came to Madison with a lot of confidence after our win here last fall in the Super Late Model show gave everyone on the team that extra boost to get things right!"

"Still though, this track is tough!" The 2007 ASALMS Northern Division Runner-Up continued. "Most of the guys upfront have been racing on these high banks long before I could see over a steering wheel!"

Neville and his Buzz Motorsports Team will now prepare for Race #2 on the 2009 ASA Midwest Tour Schedule, which is set for Saturday, May 16th at the immaculate 7/8s mile progressively banked paved oval of Iowa Speedway in Newton, Iowa for the Pride of Iowa 100.

"We have been prepping all winter for this race. Crew Chief Kevin Tunks has the body perfect for this "superspeedway type" track." Neville added. "Aerodynamics play such a big role at these speeds that his extra hours in the shop bracing and smoothing will pay huge dividends in performance. Couple that with the fact that Team Engineer, Dave Stammer has put together a great shock package that will hold the car low to the track, we plan to surprise a lot of people!"

Throughout the 2009 season, Nick will continue to carry the colors of Dixie Chopper Lawn Mowers on the side of his #32 Buzz Motorsports Chevrolet Impala SS. Additional support comes from; Lucas Oil Products, B-B Racing Engines, Ben E. Neville Roll-Off and Trucking Service, Nick's Quality Lawn Care, M.P.H. Promotions, and Buzz Motorsports.

Nick's older brother, Derek Neville will wheel the #33 Chevrolet Impala SS and race in a limited schedule to preserve his Rookie status for the 2010 season in the ASA Midwest Tour.

In his limited appearances, the older Neville Brother, the 2006 ASA Late Model Series Northern Division Rookie of the Year, will carry primary sponsorship from Lucas Oil Products as well as Illinois Valley Construction, Ben E. Neville Roll-Off and Trucking Service, as well as Neville Land Development, Dixie Chopper Lawn Mowers, B-B Racing Engines, M.P.H. Promotions, and Buzz Motorsports.
